About Sarah Coleman
Sarah holds a double degree in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce. Having cut her teeth in the aluminium industry in the early 2000s holding various operations management and improvement roles, Sarah soon headed up Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s business improvement team during the boom times.
Having seen a gap in the market, Sarah created her own consultancy delivering high returns at minimal cost. Focusing on operational improvement, ImpRes has provided great results for clients across mining, health, Oil & Gas, FMCG and manufacturing for more than a decade.
Following the success of ImpRes, Sarah also took on the world of innovation and technology by creating Sandpit Innovation. Sandpit Innovation focuses on identifying complex problems and developing credible pathways for innovation. Sandpit has been supporting the mining sector for nearly 9 years. Sarah has recently sold her businesses and is now the CEO of a new venture that is driving disruption in the mining sector.
As well as being a mum of three, Sarah has many accolades such as being named a WA Business News Top 40 Under 40, being a finalist in the CME Most Outstanding Young Professional Female category, awarded the AIM WA State Owner Manager of the Year and was a finalist in the Women In Industry Awards. Sarah loves all things outdoors including boating, fishing and camping and even holds a fishing State, Australian and World Record.
