Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School, including the co-educational Ipswich Junior Grammar School, is one of the eight original Queensland Grammar Schools. The School provides independent, non-denominational education for girls and boys from Pre-Prep to Year 4 and girls only in Years 5 to 12 with boarding from Year 7 in a Grammar School learning environment.

Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School including Ipswich Junior Grammar School is focused on excellence and nurtures every young woman, girl and boy to become confident, well-educated and prepared for higher learning, leadership and life. The School strives to acheive this vision by providing each girl and young boy with a positive, personalised, all-round education by dedicated, professional staff in safe, first-class learning environments.

The School holds long established traditional values of diligence, excellence, respect, cooperation and teamwork, care and compassion, justice, and integrity. Over the past 122 years the School has played a significant role in the education of young women who have pursued careers in areas such as health, science, law, engineering, information technology and politics.
