For 140 years, Brisbane Girls Grammar School has been renowned as a leader in exceptional scholarship. An academically, non-selective school specialising in the education of adolescent girls and the development of accomplished and confident young women. The School values and nurtures the individual strengths and interests of its students. Girls are encouraged to set themselves high standards, to be strong and resilient in their endeavours and to contribute confidently to their world with wisdom, imagination and integrity.

The School’s life-wide approach to learning and inclusive fee structure gives girls access to enriching experiences in the arts, music, sports, culture and service. By providing a combination of leading-edge approaches in teaching and learning, and innovative programmes and learning spaces, Grammar girls develop a joy for learning while being challenged to be the best they can be. Our exceptional academic record is testament to our success in providing an outstanding, well-rounded education.

Our staff, specialists in the education of girls, work in partnership with families to support the girls through their high school years. Grammar girls also benefit from access to an inspiring network of alumni, our Grammar Women, who remain actively engaged with the School.

Brisbane Girls Grammar has a strong focus on service. Students consistently engage with and contribute to the physical, emotional, economic and welfare not only of their School community but of broader society.

In addition to the Brisbane campus at Spring Hill, the School has Marrapatta, a well-resourced outdoor education facility, located 175 kilometers north of Brisbane in the Mary Valley. Outdoor Education at Marrapatta is regarded as an integral part of the School’s curriculum emphasising environmental awareness, enhanced self-awareness, improved interpersonal skills and physical challenge. In 2013 our Fig Tree Pocket Sport Campus was opened to provide Grammar girls with their own home ground and a space where their connection to nature can be further explored.

In anticipation of future educational needs and the introduction of Year 7 students, in March 2015 the School opened the new Research Learning Centre, providing a state-of-the-art teaching and learning space for all students.

The impressive educational activities of the Brisbane Girls Grammar School students and staff can be viewed on our website, which profiles the energy, optimism and effectiveness of the School’s initiatives and achievements and its aspiration to be a leader in exceptional scholarship.
