Ian Wigston

Founder and Director | Bright Field Consulting

Ian has been an independent consultant and facilitator for more than 25 years. He specialises in innovation, leadership development, and coaching. He has undertaken projects for organisations as diverse as Barclaycard, Elavon, Boeing, Boots Healthcare International, Santander and the Church of England and has been an advisor to the UK Government on Education Policy.

Bright Field presently works with more than 100 state and independent schools in the UK. In one project, described by The Times as “unique”, Bright Field is enabling nearly 100 future women leaders by helping them develop their personal brands and marketing themselves more effectively in order to secure promotion.  More than 25% of the cohort have won new roles. Together with his wife Hilary, Ian is writing his first book, “The Magic in the Space Between”, which will document the programme.

Prior to establishing his own business, Ian built and ran Barclays’ innovation unit in the early 1990s. The team worked with external clients including ICI and Shell, and also undertook internal projects in retail and wholesale banking. Prior to this his career had spanned relationship management in the Natural Resources team, the development of the Strategic Planning function for the Markets Division of BZW and the design and development of Electronic Banking Department. He was responsible for introducing coaching into Barclays.


Jo Beckett

Jo is a qualified Executive Coach and Mentor accredited at Masters level 7 with the Institute of Leadership and Management. She is a Psychologist, experienced in coaching and mentoring head teachers, boards of governors, senior managers and teaching staff in schools. She also specialises in coaching and mentoring young people and is certified to teach resilience skills and experienced in Mindfulness.

Jo has over 25 years’ senior management and leadership experience in the education, corporate and charity sectors. Based near the UK’s Georgian City of Bath, Jo began coaching professionally over a decade ago and went on to qualify from the University of the West of England as a level 7 Executive Coach and Mentor. She is certified to teach resilience skills by the University of Pennsylvania and is experienced in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Jo graduated with a BSc in Psychology and began her career in media, working in consultative business development roles for PLC’s including ITV, Channel 4 and the Capital Radio group.

For the past twelve years, Jo has worked for the Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE), the leading professional membership organisation for schools raising funds to enable disadvantaged young people to access the best educational experience.

In her role as CEO, Jo has personally led IDPE’s engagement, partnerships, and income generation strategy, successfully establishing sector wide partnerships to build the profile and reserves of the charity to record levels. She has built and developed a senior leadership team at IDPE and works closely with the Chairman and Board of trustees.

Alongside her career in leadership, Jo has cared for, and campaigned on behalf of, her severely autistic son.


Anne H. Chatroux

For decades Anne has provided both female and male leaders with incisive, effective coaching that has led to measurable organisational results and has transformed team performance. She is recognized for her ability to quickly discern what holds people back from expressing their full leadership potential, and to successfully work on those issues. Anne’s approach is both nurturing and straight, which leads to immediate and decisive empowerment, challenge of assumptions and the status quo. She has worked with hundreds of professionals from organisations ranging from charities focused on child protection and education to global blue-chip companies in a wide range of industries.

Anne is the founder of ACEP Ltd. and the author of a suite of educational programmes within our diversity practise. Our flagship programme “Female Executives Leading Change” empowers women to step up and take greater leadership positions, assume greater responsibility for the future direction of their organisation, and become effective role models for other women. To date the programme has enjoyed a 50% promotion success of its graduates.

Anne is at heart an educator and partners with organisations and their leaders to transform what they see possible to achieve. She helps organisations grow by finding an effective leadership balance, which then creates an environment that attracts and retains both male and female talent. Anne helps them answer the question how we can all win and be successful in a more diverse environment, which allows for less resistance and therefore better implementation and inclusion. She is passionate about the subject of changing our organisational cultures and believes that we achieve the best results when both male and female leadership styles are valued. This in turn allows her clients to take advantage of the enormous opportunity that diversity represents.

Prior to founding ACEP Ltd. Anne spent a decade in investment banking working for Credit Suisse before entering management consulting for JMW, an international leadership and strategic implementation firm. A Danish and Swiss national, she has lived and worked in New York, Zurich, and London, where she now resides with her French husband and their two teenage daughters.


Caroline Hoare

Caroline is a qualified solicitor and freelance strategy consultant specialising in education and charities. She was most recently employed as Chief Executive of the UK’s Independent Schools Inspectorate, where she also developed its international consultancy arm. Caroline was previously interim Chief Executive of anti-prejudice education charity The Anne Frank Trust UK and is currently vice chair of its trustee board. For fifteen years, she was a member of the senior management team at one of the UK’s largest schools’ groups, The Girls’ Day School Trust, leading the legal, health and safety, HR and governance departments. She has a particular interest in talent development, culture change and mental well-being.

Caroline has two teenage children and is currently undertaking a part-time MA in Children’s Literature at the University of Roehampton.


Lois Mufuka Martin

As a Managing Director for Storbeck Search, Lois works within the Education Practice to connect executive leaders with independent, private and charter schools, universities, and nonprofits. The core of her work is about centering inclusive and equitable hiring practices as a foundation for recruitment and retention.

Prior to Storbeck, Lois served as Vice President for Search and Consulting at CalWest Educators Placement where she led a team that connected leaders to independent schools on the West Coast. Rooted in nonprofit organizational development, Lois has also served as Chief Volunteer Engagement Officer at United Way of Southwestern PA and as CEO of Bethlehem Haven, an organization that moves women from homelessness to housing and as Director of The Community Fund at United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County.

 


Dana Nunnelly

Dana is a seasoned marketing and brand Strategist specializing in leading teams in customer focused practices and initiatives, and creative direction and execution. She has worked both domestically and internationally with some of the Pacific Northwest favorite companies like REI.comHomeGrocer.com, and Microsoft.

Dana is a natural educator that has built and implemented training curriculums for youth to advance leadership skills and business acumen. She has led the creation of corporate playbooks for international marketing and communication strategy roll outs and speaks on women in technology.

 


Adrienne Penta

Adrienne Penta joined Brown Brothers Harriman in 2008 and is a managing director, as well as the executive director of the Brown Brothers Harriman Center for Women & Wealth (CW&W). Ms. Penta led the creation of the CW&W, which supports women as they create and manage wealth and seeks to create a dynamic and inclusive environment where women can engage in conversations about wealth, family and values. Ms. Penta provides women with the investment, planning and philanthropic resources they need to navigate transitions, help the next generation thrive and plan for the succession of privately-owned businesses.

Ms. Penta serves on several boards, including New America’s Better Life Lab Advisory Council, Women’s Philanthropy Institute at the Lilly School of Philanthropy Advisory Board, the Massachusetts Women’s Forum Board of Directors, and the Boys and Girls Club of Boston (BGCB) Board of Trustees. She is also past chair of the Boston Foundation Professional Advisors Committee and a former member of the Winsor School Board of Trustees and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy Board of Trustees. In 2019, Ms. Penta received the Boston Estate Planning Council Excellence Award. She was named as a member of the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2016 and as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Private Wealth by Private Asset Management in 2015 and 2016. In addition, she speaks and writes on a variety of issues related to women and wealth, wealth planning and family communication about wealth and values.

Prior to joining BBH, Ms. Penta practiced at the law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP in Boston. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was the executive editor of the Virginia Tax Review, and her B.A. in history and political science from Johns Hopkins University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She lives in Boston with her husband and two children.


Jeremy Tomlinson

Jeremy is a freelance consultant/coach and linked up with Ian Wigston of Bright Field Consulting during 2018. A Chartered Accountant, with extensive experience of business leadership in a variety of service sectors, including accountancy, the law and the National Health Service, Jeremy was Bursar at Oakham School for ten years from 1998 to 2008.

Drawing on a lifetime of observation and involvement in leadership and team psychology, the secrets of compelling vision-design, the art of leading change and the ingredients of high-performing teams, Jeremy advises, mentors and coaches high-achievers to raise their performance bar and extend their creative potential. He has a particular interest in debunking the psychological wall between educational and business leaders through generative partnership.

Jeremy has an MA (Oxon) in History, and became an FCA whilst working for Deloittes in the City. He is also an accredited NLP coach.


Suzanne White

With over 25 years in Human Resources and Learning & Development, Suzanne is an expert in all aspects of HR policy and practice with a forte in business restructuring, people development, conflict resolution and the practical application of employment law. Suzanne has co-founded an award-winning HR and training consultancy and has lectured on Employee Relations in both the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Diploma of Management Studies (DMS) professional development programs.

Suzanne is a passionate believer in the power of people and she brings a positive energy to any engagement. She is also a keen advocate of Insights Discovery™, a coaching tool for professional development and personal growth and as an Insights Discovery™ Practitioner Suzanne helps individuals within business and education to unlock their personal and team potential.

She is currently a Governor at Roydon Primary School and is a volunteer on the CIPD ‘STEPS’ mentoring program for young people seeking employment. She is a devoted partner and mother of two with a passion for dance and fitness.


Marjon Wind

Marjon is a circular economy consultant and executive coach with over 25 years of experience in international business. She lived for many years in Asia and Europe, working for multinational organisations, helping them bridge the gap between strategic plans and effective implementation. Empowering people into strategic leadership and teamwork is a key focus in her work.

Throughout her career, she has successfully managed multi-million dollar change projects in complex multi-cultural environments. After 13 years in corporate banking, Marjon worked for eight years in consultancy firms focusing on leadership coaching and change management. She is a keen facilitator in workshops, helping teams set their strategic direction and vision.

Marjon has built up extensive experience managing and coaching people from different cultural and professional backgrounds and managing teams across regions/countries through her corporate and consulting career.

She has a key focus on coaching women and supporting them to manage challenges around diversity in the workplace, work-life balance, and understand how their predisposition and behaviour influences their performance.

After moving to Brisbane, Australia in 2017, Marjon joined Coreo, a specialised circular economy consultancy, and applies her experience to support organisations in their transition from a linear to a circular business model to create economic, social and environmental benefits.

Marjon is an activator for SheEO in Australia, a radically redesigned ecosystem that supports, finances, and celebrates female innovators. In 2019, she was a mentor for the Women in Technology mentoring program.

Marjon holds a master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration and has a Diploma in Company Direction from the UK Institute of Directors.
