Waitaki Girls’ High School is a state secondary school for girls founded in 1887 and located in Oamaru in the South Island of new zealand. We offer a wide range of subjects both academic and vocational and our students achieve excellent results in national examinations. Students can enjoy a wide range of sports and cultural activities including interhouse sports choir and drama competitions. The school is located in beautiful grounds surrounded by well established trees and gardens. Accommodation is available for boarders in Waitaki House which adjoins the school. Waitaki Girls High School is driven by a sense of community. Academically we rate among the top secondary schools in new zealand and have done so for many years.
