What do transgender students mean for single-sex schools? – The Educator

Schools across the world are navigating new territory as our eyes are opened to the world of gender identity, and how to adapt to support those needs of students.

Each school will be working to find the path that is right for that student, their school and their school community. That path is potentially different for each student and each school, however, it is vital that we stay connected, and communicate what we learn so that we can create helpful and supportive processes to facilitate this changing landscape.

In this article, author Brett Henebery dips his toe into the water of transgender school policy at a single-sex school, looking at how they supported a student through her transition.
