Delegates inspired at Global Forum on Girls’ Education

10 February 2016

The Global Forum on Girls’ Education in New York, hosted by the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools, has drawn to a close after three days of inspiring speakers and sessions. Outstanding addresses were delivered by keynote speakers including writer and political activist Gloria Steinem, Huffington Post editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington, former athlete Baroness Sue Campbell, and Australia’s Holly Ransom, CEO of Emergent Solutions.

President of the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia, Fran Reddan, led a large contingent of Alliance schools at the forum, with many Alliance principals and staff presenting Breakout and Inspire sessions to delegates from around the world. Alliance partners Bond University and Circle Education also presented at the forum sharing their expert knowledge with forum delegates.

In conjunction with the forum, The Power of All-Girls Schools video was launched featuring girls from girls’ schools around the world, including Australia, talking about the importance of education for girls. The video was produced by the The Young Women’s Leadership Schools and the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools.
