Actura announces the OneWorld Robotics Competition

Alliance member schools are invited to participate in this unique and exciting international competition. Open to all Australian secondary school students in Years 7, 8 and 9, the OneWorld Robotics Competition brings together schools from all over the globe.

With the advance of artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D printing, automation, and globalization, the pace of change within human society within the next 30 years, will outpace the change of the last 5000 years. With this transferable skill set, the Seven Survival Skills, today’s students will be empowered to harness these changes for their future success.

The Seven Survival Skills bridge the gap for students between traditional education and the much-needed tools to dream big and succeed in an increasingly competitive global future.

3. Agility and Adaptability
4. Initiative and Entrepreneurial Skills
5. Effective Oral and Written Communication
6. Accessing and Analyzing Information
7. Curiosity and Imagination

The OneWorld Robotics Competition offers students the opportunity to develop and apply critical survival skills in pursuit of solving real-world challenges we are facing right now. The competition’s Solution Category will be announced shortly, selected from one of the following six key areas that represent humanity’s greatest challenges for the future.

The 2019 Solution Category will be chosen from the following areas:

Agriculture
Energy
Medicine
Smart Cities
Ocean Pollution
Climate Change
