Mentoring Opportunities: 2022 Global Student Mentoring Programme
The Global Student Mentoring Programme offers an incredible opportunity for alumnae of Alliance member schools currently in their mid-20s, in an early career role, to become mentors for the student participants.
About the programme
The Global Student Mentoring Programme is a mentorship programme for Year 11 (Australia) and Year 12 (New Zealand) students designed to help them to fulfil their potential, build skills for future goals and milestones, and create international connections with like-minded student leaders.
The Alliance has partnered with the Girls’ Schools Association (UK) and Bright Field Consulting to offer this unique global mentoring programme for students.
Students will be guided through a carefully designed nine-month mentorship journey. With the support of their mentor, they will be equipped with the tools, skills, knowledge and understanding to become young leaders and changemakers. They will also have the opportunity to directly apply what they have learned by being mentored in the planning and creation of a collaborative social impact project.
Become a mentor
Becoming a mentor can be a very rewarding experience. It can boost your own professional development, as well as helping young female leaders. Mentors will need to be able to commit to 12-14 hours over the 9 month programme, including training and feedback from the Insights Discovery questionnaire. Mentors will receive:
- Professional training to support and mentor the students
- Personalised, one-on-one feedback about their own individual leadership style and strengthsusing the Insights Discovery psychometric questionnaire
- Guidance from the inspirational and experienced leadership team at Bright Field Consulting
- Remuneration of AUD200 per session
