Wellbeing strategies for leaders and school communities | Dr Adam Fraser and Dr Joe Thurbon | WEBINAR

During the past two years our resilience, mental health and wellbeing have been put under pressure like never before. Whilst schools have focused on creating and maintaining programs to support the wellbeing of students, who has been taking care of school leaders and educators?

In this webinar, the second of our Mental Health and Wellbeing series, Dr Adam Fraser (founder of the Flourish Movement, author of The Third Space and Strive) and Dr Joe Thurbon (founder of Educator Impact) will discuss what the data tells us about the impact of wellbeing change at a Principal level and how that can filter  into the school for whole school wellbeing. They will:

  • unpack what the data tells us about wellbeing in schools for leaders, staff and students;
  • relay stories of the impact that their programs have had;
  • share the lessons that they have learned over the journey

Attendees will leave the webinar with an understanding of the key factors that affect their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of staff and students, as well as some tangible strategies to implement to address whole-of-school wellbeing. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a novel, whole-of-school approach to wellbeing that unifies both programs.

Dr Adam Fraser is a peak performance researcher, author and coach who helps people strive to achieve better performance in everything they do. In his time he has worked with elite athletes and sporting teams, special forces soldiers and business leaders. He has led research into Principal leadership and wellbeing and founded the Flourish Movement.


Dr Joe Thurbon is the Chief Technology Officer at Alliance Parter Educator Impact, which helps schools support the wellbeing of their staff and students, and aims to make schools a better place to teach and learn.


The Flourish Movement is a program that creates a space for principals to take off their armour, sit with colleagues, be supported, and have authentic and real conversations while creating a legacy of wellbeing and fulfilment for current and future school leaders. The movement has also been expanded to include Flourish for Schools, a whole school wellbeing program to complement the in-depth work taking place at the principal level.
