Sacré Cœur, a Catholic Independent School for girls from Prep to Year 12, was founded by the French Society of the Sacred Heart in 1888. The five Goals of Sacred Heart Education are fundamental to the school and we are deeply concerned for each student's total development: spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical. Our school emphasises serious study, social responsibility, personal growth, resilience, and wise decision-making, and lays the foundations of a strong faith. Sacré Cœur provides an academically oriented education, offering a wide range of subjects and activities to prepare our students for higher education. Music students have many opportunities to perform with a school play or musical held every year, and our junior students participate in their own musical. Student art from all levels is exhibited in our Annual Art Shows. We provide inter-school sporting opportunities in many sports through Girls Sport Victoria, together with competitions in swimming, athletics and cross-country. There are opportunities for exchanges with our four sister schools in Australia and New Zealand, or 150 Sacred Heart schools in 44 countries.
