Presbyterian Ladies’ College is a Uniting Church school founded in 1915. It is a K to 12 independent day and boarding school for girls. Current enrolment is 1100 and entry is non-selective. The school is committed to educational excellence that gives girls confidence to lead purposeful lives and make an active contribution to the common good. The majority of students gain entrance into universities across Australia and overseas. Our values include commitment, responsibility, respect for others, integrity, engagement and independence. The school achieves its mission by offering an innovative, challenging curriculum that is nurturing of personal excellence. Our extra-curricular program includes recreational and team sports, music, drama and dance, outdoor education, debating and public speaking. The school teaches to the Primary and Middle Years Program of the International Baccalaureate with the goal of introducing Diploma courses in 2011. All students in Years 5 to 12 have their own laptop. Innovative uses of ICT give our students access to an education that is differentiated and strives to be personalised. The IB Service Learning program means the school is actively engaged with community partners. PLC has a vital network of alumni, parents and past parents.
