The Mac. Robertson Girls' High School, one of the finest schools in Victoria, is a government selective entry school for girls in Years 9 to 12. Situated on the edge of the CBD, it is attended by students from all over Melbourne and beyond, who bring with them a rich mix of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The school provides an educational experience that equips girls for tertiary study and leadership roles in the academic, professional and business communities and develops interests and skills to enhance their personal lives. The school has a long and distinguished history of academic excellence in girls' education. Our students consistently top the state in VCE results and excel in sport, music, visual arts, drama, debating and public speaking. Mac Rob adds substantially to the academic potential of our students, with 85.5% of 2008 Year 12 students achieving an ENTER above 90. Our broad academic and co-curricular program is complemented by an extensive range of enhancement activities. These include a large instrumental music and ensemble program, student run interest groups and clubs, and a variety of leadership opportunities, a large social service program, subject competitions, university enhancement studies, overseas study trips and exchanges.
