Canberra Girls' Grammar School (CGGS) is an independent Anglican School founded in 1926. It has an enrolment of approximately 1500 students, spread between an Early Learning Centre (co-educational 3 and 4 year olds) a Junior School (Prep to Year 6 - co-educational to Year 2) and Senior School (Girls’ Day and Boarding Year 7 to Year 12). CGGS is known for outstanding achievements in both curricular and co-curricular. CGGS pursues excellence and encourages students to achieve their personal best through a curriculum and co-curricular program which offer choice and a pastoral program which focuses on growth and development of the individual. CGGS focuses on innovative teaching practices to achieve student engagement in their learning. CGGS encourages service to the local and wider communities through House activities and a community service program. As a day and boarding community, CGGS bring together a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. CGGS is set on two beautiful campuses, just one kilometre from Parliament House, covering ten hectares and includes facilities such as an indoor heated pool, indoor gymnasiums, sports courts, playing field, chapel, an Aquatic Centre on Lake Burley Griffin and purpose-built buildings for performing arts, ICT, art, textiles, music and a 1000 seat hall.
